Q: What is the golf course like?
A: The focal point of The ACE Club is the Gary Player Signature Design 18-hole golf course. A pristine valley extends through the expansive 300-acre property, providing a natural and varied canvas for the routing of the golf course. The golfer encounters rolling topography, beautiful streams, picture-perfect lakes, mature trees, open ground, unspoiled wetlands habitat, natural rock outcroppings and historical architectural sites while experiencing Mr. Player's traditional design philosophy. A fair test and enjoyable challenge for golfers of all abilities, the course ranges from nearly 7,500 yards at the tips to just over 5,200 yards from the forward tees. The 594-yard, par five Sixteenth Hole serves as the signature hole, with a dramatic forced carry on the tee shot over an expansive wetland to a fairway dramatically framed by a 300-yard rock wall. A-1 bentgrass is used on all tees, fairways and greens, with a bluegrass/fine fescue/tall fescue mixture for the roughs, and native grasses in many of the natural and out-of-play areas.
